RayDillon-11Legion, Book Zero “Genesis” has found it’s colorist.  Ray Dillon, president of GoldenGoat Studios has agreed to work on the book.

His impressive resume includes coloring and painting for IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Lerner Publishing, Dark Horse, and several small press publishers.  He also recently inked and colored the 120-page GN “Rogue Angel” for IDW Publishing.  Take a look at his amazing work at his personal website http://www.raydillon.com, or at his stuio http://www.goldengoatstudios.com

Legion is continuing to kick major butt, and with the talent of Ray onboard, the sky is the limit.  Woot!

As some of you know, we had a very large amount of colorists apply for the position on Book Zero.  Thank you everyone for taking the time to apply!  We love you all!

Selecting just one colorist for the job has been a long and painful process.  There were so many good applicants that it’s hard to make just one choice.  We haven’t made it yet!

We’ll be burning the midnight oil tonight to make a final selection so we can get cracking on the final leg of this story.  We can’t wait to get the book into your hands!

Legion Zero

Legion Zero

We have a coloring position open! Right now, we’re looking for a colorist to work on Legion, Book Zero. That’s 21 pages of art and the cover. Take a trip over to our Digital Webbing Thread to see what it’s all about, or read on…

Hi guys and dolls,
It’s that time again. Apx Press is looking for a colorist this time! Legion, Book Zero has been drawn, inked and is ready for color.

For those that may be interested, take a look here… http://www.apx-press.com/main/legio…sis-6pg-preview

That’s the cover and some interior pages so you get a feel for what sort of pages you’ll be coloring. (pro tip: take a look at the pages in fullscreen for best results, heh.)

Also, take a look around the site (www.apx-press.com) for more information about who we are, what we’re doing, and what’s coming down the pipeline.

For the job at hand (Legion Book Zero) there’s 21 pages of art and a cover. We’d like to put a deadline of about two months on the work, but, like most things that’s adjustable. This book WILL be printed and published. Guaranteed. We may shop it around if the preliminary reactions are good, but we will AT LEAST print the book under our own banner. I promise it.

Any and all potential coloring guru’s should send a message to my email account… JasonM (.at.) apx-press.com

As last time, I’ll be sure to respond to everyone that sends me an email, good or bad. It’s the least I can do since you took the time to contact me about the position.

Let’s keep this submission open for a week. Applications will close on Monday, August 24th.

If you are interested, send an email with your pagerates, plenty of samples, and ability to meet (or come close) to the suggested deadline of 2 months. Thanks!

-JasonM
